I’m super slow this month; actually almost two weeks late on my Project 10. By the time school got out and all the stuff we had scheduled first thing this summer, I was slow to mail off my film. And I knew I wanted my project for this month to be on film, because the whole point of Project 10 is to be a personal project of capturing our families. And I love doing that on film, so it’s putting part of my heart in the images too. We have lots of beach and water days here so that’s what I have. I’ve shot 35mm film before but used medium format, a Pentax 645N, this time. There were actually some issues with the camera and I got to send it right off to the shop, but despite the imperfections of these images, I adore them. And I love that my son let me get him in a quick shot (that boy and his hair makes me all googley-eyed).
Film stock: Kodak Portra 400, scanned and developed at The FIND Lab.
