It’s that time again! Project 10 is awesome. I am so glad that I am involved in this and the way it helps me document these moments in our family’s life. I even got my oldest in this month! Hooray!
I shot film again, and just got it today, which is why I’m one day late. I’m so glad I’m doing it on film. I love the grain, the slightly softer focus, the way I can get motion blur on it. It just makes my little heart happy and fills me up creatively more than digital. I don’t hate digital at all and I still use it, especially for things like weddings. But for my own little family, I love being able to use film to tell our story.
One thing I’m really glad I captured this month is my oldest daughter, Sienna. Someone how we twisted her arm enough to get her to come to the park with us. She acts like she hates it, but as you can tell, she loves the swings and I just loved watching her, in her own little world, swinging around. She just turned 17 and it’s so very bittersweet.
I also captured Lucy’s crazy hair. I’m not sure what she does to it, but it tangles SO much in the back, and even though I brush it in the mornings and pull the hair into a ponytail, by the end of the day, she’s pulled it out and worked it into a rat’s nest. I know it won’t always be like that, so I’m glad I got some photos to document that crazy hair.
