Whoa! I am actually on time for this for the first time in a while. I’m really excited, because I have several images of my parents on here to share. I wish I’d gotten more of them with the kids, but at the same time, I love that I have just the two of them, because it’s not something I would think to do normally. Hopefully my mom won’t hate me since she didn’t do her hair and her makeup for this, but she’s my mama, and she’s so very beautiful to me.
Sienna, my oldest, went to DC, Philadelphia and then finally on to New York City to march as part of the Hawaii All-State Marching Band in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. It’s pretty amazing. Kids from high schools all over the state of Hawaii practice on their own islands and then met together on the east coast. They practiced a few times with all of them together and then just did it. Spencer and I went to NYC to watch her march, but also have some time away to ourselves. Life had been really hectic and it was very needed. Well, my parents are saints and came out to watch the other kids while we were gone. They ran errands, did carpool, they did dishes all day every day. It was amazing to have them here and I am so thankful. It was less adventure than I would have liked when we were all together, but at the same time, just being together was enough.
I have a few other random shots of the 3 youngest and then our cute dog Copper. Little daily details that mean so much in the long run.
