My friends referred this wedding to me after I shot their own wedding on Kauai. There’s no greater honor than a referral from a couple who loved what you captured on their special day.
I didn’t actually meet the couple until the day of the wedding because they don’t live on Kauai. They both serve in the military, so Tiffany’s mom planned everything for them. My parents met while serving in the army so that was special to see another couple who fell in love the same way.
We did the bridal prep at a family’s house and the groom’s across the street. I love photographing the prep and watching the connection, joy, and excitement for the upcoming ceremony.

The ceremony was on Japanese Island at Smith’s Tropical Paradise, which is such a beautiful place. I cry easily and I kind of love when clients and family do too. Seeing the bride and groom, as well as both moms crying just made it feel so special; such a tender, sacred ceremony.

I absolutely love when the bride does a hula dance for their new husband. Her dance on the beach, in beautiful light was gorgeous .

The bridal party rode the Harbor Trolly from Smiths to the beach right across from the house the reception was held at.
