I don’t love blogging, but here’s a gorgeous Poipu family photo session at sunrise. I think most of us photographers don’t like to blog, which is why so many of us slack off at posting. For me, it’s because of the writing. Every now and then, something comes to my mind and I love the way it’s phrased, and it doesn’t sound recycled and the same as other posts, and it flows out of me. Most days, it’s like pulling teeth. The writing just doesn’t come.
Sadly, I just went through all of my sessions from the last couple of years and realized there are about TWO DOZEN families/weddings I’ve never posted about. That makes me really sad, because they’re all amazing and I’m really proud of my work and want to share each family’s own, unique beauty.
How do I go about and talk about the photo session so it doesn’t sound exactly the same, without going too in depth and losing interest? Every family is so beautiful, each session is a gift. I say it all the time, but I have the best clients ever. They’re kind, open, loving, and patient.
We knew there may be a chance of rain, but we still decided to go for it. Poipu is usually pretty clear compared to most areas on the island for a photo session.
How gorgeous are these guys? The youngest daughter was super grumpy at first and I LOVE grumpy little kids. Right at the end, it started to rain, and then the most beautiful rainbow came out. There were actually two rainbows during this hour. We can end up with such unique stuff if we’re willing to risk a bit.
Enjoy these photo full of light and love!
