Booking
When we have a date and time, I’ll send over a link to a contract, a questionnaire and the invoice for your session fee. Once the contract is signed and the retainer paid, your date will be reserved. A welcome packet will be mailed with several helpful pamphlets explaining what to expect, tips on what to wear and more.
The questionnaire should be done before the pre session appointment. It may seem like a hassle to do, but I promise it’s worth it. It helps me to get to know everyone a little better, which helps us create the best session possible.
Pre Session Consultation
Whenever possible, a week or two before your session we’ll have a phone or email consultation. I’ll answer any questions you may have and just make sure we’re on the same page for the session. Plus, it’s just nice to actually chat a little before the big day.
We can discuss wardrobe choice, (ideas on color combos here), and I’ll delve into the information in your questionnaire so that I can get to know you better. I love color, prints (not logos so much) and bare feet. Please plan for water and sand if we are doing a beach session. Heck, bring your swimsuits and get wet!
Your Session
Try to arrive to your appointment about 10 minutes early. Giving yourself time to be early and ask any questions beforehand will allow you to relax and enjoy the experience.
As a mother of 4, I totally understand the stress that comes with getting yourself and your family ready for this important event. Please, try not to worry. I take a mixture of lifestyle images and posed portraits, so just enjoy spending time with your family and know you’ll have beautiful images to show for it. The more you can relax, the more the kids can relax, and the more fun we can have. Having fun = awesome images.
If you have a child that is struggling, please don’t stress. The last thing in the world that I want is for anyone to have a negative experience. Your child is your child and they will be who they are in this moment in time. I will always try to do the best I can to make it fun and entertaining so we can get fun, playful images, but I also feel that we should capture the truth of the day. I’m not one to make your child cry by making them do something they don’t want to or posing them to death. I want everyone to walk away with positive memories of our time together and not just gorgeous photos.
Delivery
Your high-resolution digital files will be uploaded to an online gallery within 3 weeks of the session, where you can view all the images and choose your collection of products/files. Digital files can be downloaded directly from the gallery.
Your products will be delivered by me within 2 weeks for Kauai clients, or carefully delivered by mail service for my clients that do not live on Kauai.
